Random Notes

Last weekend I was so neglected. Katie's dad came and he visited with me (he makes funny noises) and that was nice. But, really he must've come to see them, because they spent most of their time outside. When they came inside they were obsessed with washing their hands. I couldn't see what they were doing so I chewed on the curtains. Usually, when they find I did something they didn't like, I feel bad and go away so I won't be around people who are mad at me. This weekend, I didn't care, I thought they should ignore it and pet me already.

We saw some kids walking, last Saturday and last night. Someone needs to tell them that I am not a toy. Five kids hanging around going "sit," "stay," "stand," "lie down." They're just kids, and they squeal, so I ignored them. But it gets old. I don't even know stand. If I rolled around to get my haulti off they just squealed. On Saturday, there was a boy M who has a German Shepherd, and he was okay, because he knew how to be around dogs.

I still haven't caught a metro bus. Last night I also saw a "Maryland Commuter Bus." I might try to catch one of those instead. I haven't had much luck with Metro busses, and Katie and Joe have started shortening my leash when they're around.

The Washington Express guy has changed and my friend isn't there any more. Not that I paid him much attention while he was there. Usually, I was trying to spot squirrels. But, now there's no one to say "Hey, Big Man" to me in the mornings. Maybe he's just on vacation.

On the upside, I keep running into S in the morning, as well as A. Also, B is becoming more social and when we're both off leash we get in some really good runs. He just needs to realize that I may be laid back, but I'm not submissive.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Everyone else was late getting home today. Katie started making dinner, which would've been great if I had any. Actually, I got some Italian parsley and it's better than the grass that grows around the school. Joe got home and changed and took for me a walk, and as soon as we were outside, it started to pour! I hate when it pours. Joe doesn't care; he walks anyway and I'm stuck. If I had still been in the house, I would have refused to go outside. I've done that with Katie. She's much more sympathetic, and I'm strong. Luckily, it stopped, and we went to the park and everything smelled good. I ran around with some labs. On the way home, we saw a car that was broken, and Joe helped fix it.

Popcorn

Katie made popcon in the microwave. It was really weird. There were all kinds of noises coming out of the kitchen. I looked and it was coming from the oven. I've never heard it make those noises before. It was all crazy and rather distressing. The noises kept changing, and I tried to figure out what was going on, but I couldn't see it. I barked at it, just in case. Once it was done, nobody wanted to share with me. Some fell on the floor, it was okay. I'd eat more.

Dinner
Dinner, I ate it,
There is none left,
It was crunchy, with soy
and it was def.

I proceeded, to eat it,
'Cause I was in the mood,
I sure hope they never take away my moo-shoo
I be illin'

Been Busy

You know, it's not all just sleeping and laying around, I have a very full life. For instance, after the people leave it's good to take a survey of how they left the house. Last week they left the door to the basement open, and what did I find? Close to 2/3rds of a bag of IAMS dog food. Almost finished it, too. The people are less observant. If I hadn't gagged at the thought of eating my full dinner, I don't think they'd have known. Sure, there were a few comments about gaining weight, but they probably would've been shrugged off.

Interesting sight over the weekend - a cat on the leash. The world became just a little more right.
