Orange Thing
I really like my orange thing. I got to play with it in the park yesterday. Joe and Katie can throw it pretty far. I liked them throwing it for me, but I didn't really like giving it to them. I carried it almost all the way around the cemetery and showed it to all the other dogs, but I didn't let them play with it.

Grady Liberation Day
Today is Grady Liberation Day. I'm not completely sure what that means, except that it involved getting a treat the size of a tennis ball, stuffed with peanut butter. It was really good! I ate the crumbs and went back to the kitchen to see if there may be more. I don't usually bother with crumbs, but it was that good. There was not, so I went back to check out the carpet to see if I could get any more little bits. I also got a big orange thing from Jody.

Walking
Katie and I went on a rather odd walk last night. It involved a lot of standing and sitting around while she talked to people. Someone dropped part of a french fry and I ate that. There were some little sticks with sauce that seemed rather yummy, but she wouldn't let me eat that. Some little kids played with me and a police officer said I looked handsome and like a dog he used to have. Later we went back home again.
This morning we walked and still didn't go to the cemetery. We went around the corner by the school and there out of the blue was a little girl not any taller than my head. She looked at me and screamed and ran away. I don't know what that was about.
We saw D. by the elementary school. He likes to hold on to my leash. I'm pretty sure if Katie weren't around he'd help me take my collar off. There were lots of kids today. Some of the kids started pushing each other, so I barked at them. That made people scream. Katie said we had to leave. They were yelling and stuff, so I wanted to go back, but Katie kept taking me towards home. Another kid ran out of a car and I started to go towards him, but that got me tugged on some more. Then we went home. My breakfast was late. I wasn't very happy about that.

My Futon
Last night I went up into my futon room, because that's where Joe and Katie were. There was all this stuff on my futon! Clothes everywhere. Not even the least bit of room for me. I don't know what they were thinking. I just walked up and laid my head down between some clothes and hoped it would all go away. Finally, Katie picked up a few things, and as soon as it looked like there was close to enough space I claimed it. Then, they got put out when I sat on the edges of some clothes. People.
Puppies
There was a new puppy at the park. 4 months old. This one plays really well. Apparently, she was living with some German Shepherds before she went to her new home. Her new home is down the street and around the corner from me.

Canned Food
This new food is pretty good. At first, I wasn't happy with it, but that's mostly because they were hardly giving me any. Now they're filling up my bowl pretty well. Yesterday, I noticed they put the cans in the recycling bin. There isn't usually anything good in there, so I ignore it. But, I found 3 whole cans. Sure, they were mostly empty, but after dilligent examination I got a few morsels out. It wasn't very satisfying compared to the effort, though, so I was rather pleased to notice another can on the kitchen counter. It was heavy! Such luck. Unfortunately, whatever the can is made of is very strong. I took it out to the dining room and tried very hard to open it, but nothing came of my efforts.

New Food
I have new food. It's mushy and kind of weird. Yesterday they weren't giving me much of it. I was hungry! I'm feeling much better now.

Vet
I really just wanted to take a nap. Maybe go outside for a few minutes. Katie took me to the vet, all because I drank to much water to fast and threw it up. Then she counted my food in my bowl. Don't know why she did that, people are so weird. It's my food, anyway. She's a little slow today, she tried to give me a treat, but if I wanted a treat I would have eaten the one she left on the floor this morning. It is getting kind of gross though, I've probably spit it out three times. I actually felt a little better once I went to the bathroom.
It was nice to go to the vet though. I liked it there. There was a really neat dog that I wanted to play with, but we weren't allowed. They took my temperature, which I did not like. Then they took some blood. I wasn't to thrilled about that either, but it was better than getting my temperature taken. Then they took me back out to sit with Katie. I could hear a cat once in a while. In a bag. It was dark in the bag, so I couldn't see the cat. I tried to play with the dog instead, and at least this time they let us sniff. One of the techs came and talked to the man and he unzipped the bag and out popped the cats head! I really wanted to see him then. They put the cat back in the bag. I went over and sniffed it. Then I got pulled away, but I moved around to the other side and sniffed it some more. I sat and watched and watched. Someone came and took the cat away. Then they came and got me and they "put fluid under my skin." I didn't mind them doing it so much, but it left my skin feeling bloated.
When we got home, I started to drink some more water. You think this would have made Katie happy, but then she told me to stop. After we were home for a while, she shoved some pills down my throat. I really don't like people putting things in me. She got out some food for me. It's not my regular food. It smells different. I sniffed it, but I didn't eat it.

In like a lion, out like a lamb
This morning was so much fun at the cemetery. There were all these giant puddles and I raced back and forth through them with some other dogs. Different dogs for different puddles. We chased and splashed, it was great. We were all muddy. F. kept trying to wipe off on her person's pants. I didn't bother, I just found other dogs to play with me.
By the end of the day though, I didn't feel so good. Katie kept trying to give me dinner, but I went in the living room and threw up instead. We went for a short walk and usually that'd be disappointing, but it was okay. Besides, it was really windy out.

When Turkeys Fly
We were running through the park this morning when a bird glided by. I wouldn't normally think anything of it, except then I realized that bird looked as big as me. I did a double take and decided to follow it. I ran over to the fence to see where it went, since it looked like it was landing. It was huge! It was wandering around the edge of the river. I couldn't go any closer. I would have tried to figure out how to get over there, but Katie dragged me away. Then she ran off and then offered me a treat, so I went over to get it and forgot about going back for the turkey.
