Water Bowl
I'm rather glad that Joe got me a new water bowl. I like drinking from the bottle but a lot of it falls past my tongue. That's okay, I just lick it off the asphalt, but still a bowl is easier. On Sunday we went for a long walk in the middle of the day. People are funny that day. Joe stopped a lot, which was good. But, then he'd want to get up and keep going. When we got home, he said I was being a bit melodramatic. Katie said I might drown in a slobber puddle if I wasn't careful. I didn't think that was very nice. They took me outside and put water from the hose all over my fur. That was rather helpful, but then I realized I was soaking wet and I don't really like that, so I pulled away and then they stopped. Katie got a towel, and we got to play the towel game.
I got three walks on Sunday. That was pretty cool.

It was a very busy weekend. I had many guests and found a toy. Here's an update:
- On Friday, Joe's parents came. I got a new toy, and extra people to hang out with. Joe's Mom went on some walks with me over the weekend. I had two new toys to play with, it was hard to decide.
- On Saturday, morning Joe and Katie and I went to the park. Then we went to class. Class was boring, because everyone took turns taking their tests and then we had to wait patiently. I did play with another little dog for a while though. Joe says class is very good for me, and we might do it again. But, I passed my test! I don't see why I would have to do it again.
- Everyone went a way, so I rummaged in some presents and found a fuzzy hat. I like fuzzy things. The hat had a tail. That seemed strange. I ate it.
- Katie's parents came and I had more visitors!
- Later we took a walk and I found a yellow ball that I liked a lot. I brought it home with me. It is hard and bounces a lot.
- Sunday, Katie's parents left. Katie took me on a leash walk. We went further than sometimes, but I wanted to keep going. I kept sitting at the corners to go the other way, but somehow she just couldn't take a hint. She went one way, I went the other. How hard could it be. I think she knew. We got home and Jody was there.
- Monday morning Joe's parents left. That wasn't so good, but I still have my ball and my new rope toy and my new hedgehog.
- This morning I captured a U.S. Marshall truck. More or less. Katie made me let it go.

Score!
I got two dinners the other night. Divide and conquer is the order of the day.

Busy Weekend
We have a new weekend routine, apparently. I'm not fond of it, though at least it's made a change where instead of getting no walk first thing Saturday morning, we have a short walk. Then we go to "class." Class ought to be good. There are other dogs, and lots of people. But, we do the same thing over and over, and after a while I just get tired of it. Also, I'd rather go to the park. If Katie and Joe would just get out of bed when I tell them to, there'd be plenty of time to go for a longer walk, and then to this "class" thing if we really have to do it.
Good pickings from the kitchen table this weekend. They left the water bottle out on Saturday. On the table, but I could still get to it. I tried to get it to work, but had trouble with the lid. Some of it spilled and I licked that up. No big deal, I still had my water bowl. Sunday was even better though. On Sunday afternoon, after they left for who knows where, I found a stuffed, squeaking, hedgehog! It's a perfect size, just a little big than my mouth so I can gnaw all over it. I spent the rest of the day munching on it and took it up to bed with me. I wonder what I'll find today?

Turtle
I found a very odd creature in the cemetery today. It looked like a log, but didn't move much. I circled it to check it out. Creeping up closer and making wide loops to see what it would do. It didn't do a lot. Katie walked way ahead, but I didn't worry about that, because I was investigating the turtle. I could hear her calling, but I ignored her. The turtle was very odd looking, not like a dog or a cat. It didn't run away. It just sat there, which sometimes the squirrels do as well, but they usually look ready to run. It's hard to tell what this thing was going to do, because it looks like it's part rock and part animal. Katie came back while I was gearing up to make a closer inspection. I looked at her, and I knew she'd be calling me soon, but I went back to what I was doing, moving very carefully forward. When Katie got closer I wanted to show her the turtle too and started to run up closer. She yelled at me, and said the turtle would bite my nose off if I got to close. I don't know about that, it's just been sitting there the whole time and hardly moving at all.
Katie said we were late and made me wear my leash all the way back to the other end of the cemetery. Even past the other dogs. I hate that.

More Rearranging
More things keep getting moved around. I don't like the blanket they put on the floor as much as the futon, but it will do. At least they moved the desk out from in front of the window and I can look out again.
