Mice
There are mice in the wall. I know there are. It's annoying, you hear them scrambling around. I almost got one out last week. I scraped and scraped. It takes a long time to dig a hole sideways, but I finally got through. It was very dark on the other side and I didn't get enough room to see anything, so I scraped some more. Nobody else seems to appreciate my efforts. The futon is blocking the hole now, and when it's not blocking it I know Joe filled it up.

Where'd everyone go?
Last week was cool. Joe was home for three days and we hung out and took naps. How much better could a day be? The weekend had an extra day. I got one bouncy ball out of the car, and Joe gave me a second better actual bouncing ball. I've been throwing them around the house when we aren't going for walks. Then yesterday everything went back to normal and they all left me for the day and I had to take my naps by myself. Such is life, it was good while it lasted.

Oversleeping
Katie slept in this morning. It's not such a big deal on the weekend, when I still get my walk, but this is one of those days when she has to go to work in the morning. So, I got a short walk. We go around one of the elementary schools nearby and there are lots of things to sniff. It wouldn't be so bad, but there's a fenced in area and there were two other dogs running around with no leashes. I wanted to run around without my leash.

Most Popular Dog
The AKC published its list of most "popular" dog. Mixes didn't make the list. That's fine, they can have their papers, but I know who turns heads when he walks down the street.

Fireplace
Well, now I know what the thing at the end of the dining room is foor. Joe puts logs wrapped in paper in there and starts fires. I like to sit in front of it and watch. Some times I scoot up real close and just stare into the flames. It's very intriguing. Other times I just lay down in front. I like to put my head on the slate in front of the fireplace. It's much cooler. Or, curl up with Joe.
Last weekend I saw a snowball that was as tall as the top of my head. Most of the snow is gone now, but not all of it. There are a lot of things to sniff now that the snow is melting away.
